Peter B. Prestley, Esq.
– Licensed in California and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).
– Admitted in the U.S. District Court for the CNMI.
Prior to entering private practice, Peter worked for the CNMI Office of the Attorney General (OAG) where he gained significant experience in both civil and criminal matters. His last position with the OAG was In-house Counsel for the Department of Public Lands where he successfully defended numerous lawsuits brought against the CNMI government, negotiated and drafted public land leases, and advised the agency on employment matters. Before that, he was the Chief Prosecutor of the Criminal Division where he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor crimes while managing a team of seven (7) attorneys.
Peter grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut before earning his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and has been in the CNMI since 2008. In his free time, Peter is an avid triathlete.
